Each camera uses a lensboard with specific dimensions. Over the years, however, some lensboards originally designed as proprietary systems have become widely adopted standards for certain formats.
Many large format camera manufacturers have adopted these standards, allowing photographers to easily use the vast range of lenses and accessories, both new and used, that is still available today.
Stenopeika follows the same philosophy, using widely established lensboard standards whenever possible.
Our cameras use the following lensboards:
- 4×5″ — Linhof Technika, 99 × 96 mm
- 5×7″ — Linhof Technika, 99 × 96 mm
- 8×10″ — Sinar, 140 × 140 mm
- 11×14″ — Deardorff, 6 × 6″
- 12×20″ — Stenopeika Custom, 225 × 225 mm
- 7×17″ — Deardorff, 6 × 6″
- 16×20″ — Stenopeika Custom, 225 × 225 mm
Shutter hole
In addition to the lensboard size, you also need to choose the diameter of the central mounting hole, which depends on the shutter fitted to your lens.
The most common Copal / Compur standards are available, so you can order your lensboard ready to mount your lens.
If you have a lens without a shutter, with a non-standard shutter, or with a particular mounting system, I can make the lensboard with a custom-sized hole.
In this case, simply specify the required hole diameter when placing your order.
16×20 – custom 225×225 mm
The lensboard are made of BLACK PETG.
Ogni fotocamera utilizza una lensboard (piastra portaobiettivo) di dimensioni specifiche. Nel corso degli anni, però, alcune lensboard nate come sistemi proprietari sono diventate veri e propri standard per determinati formati.
Molti produttori di fotocamere di grande formato hanno adottato questi standard, permettendo ai fotografi di utilizzare più facilmente il vastissimo parco di ottiche e accessori, nuovi e usati, ancora oggi disponibile.
Anche Stenopeika ha scelto di seguire questa filosofia, adottando ove possibile formati di lensboard già ampiamente diffusi.
Le nostre fotocamere utilizzano le seguenti piastre portaobiettivo:

Foro per l’otturatore
Oltre alle dimensioni della lensboard è necessario scegliere il diametro del foro centrale, che dipende dall’otturatore sul quale è montata l’ottica.
Sono disponibili i principali standard Copal / Compur, così da poter ordinare la lensboard già pronta per il montaggio della propria ottica.
Se invece possiedi un obiettivo senza otturatore, con un otturatore non standard o con un sistema di montaggio particolare, possiamo realizzare la lensboard con un foro personalizzato su misura.
In questo caso è sufficiente indicarmi il diametro del foro necessario al momento dell’ordine.
Le piastre porta obiettivo sono realizzare in PETG NERO.
