The esthetic is very similar to the previous version, however the new Hyper camera 8×10 mark 2 has two important improvements.

The first concerns the front, from today in fact you will find two distinct knobs for tilting on the lens board and for rise/fall, very comfortable.

The second, which concerns the rear, which extends by 20 cm more than the previous version so as to reach a maximum extension of 70 cm, really impressive!!!

Another novelty, not technical, is the fact that the basic version will no longer be available, but only the advanced version (with fine focus) instead remains the possibility of being able to choose the color of the wood, natural (like the one in the video ) and black (I’ll prepare a video about it). In the video the camera has an electric blue bellows available only on request.

L’estetica è molto simile alla versione precedente, però la nuova Hyper camera 8×10 mark 2 ha due importanti novità.

La prima riguarda la parte frontale, da oggi infatti troverete due pomelli distinti per il basculaggio sulla lens board e per il decentramento, davvero molto comodo.

La seconda, che riguarda la parte posteriore, che si allunga di ben 20 cm in più rispetto alla versione precedente così da arrivare ad una estensione massima di 70 cm, davvero impressionante!!!

Altra novità, non tecnica, è il fatto che non sarà più disponibile la versione basic, ma solo la versione advanced (con la messa a fuoco di precisione) resta invece la possibilità di poter scegliere il colore del legno, naturale (come quella nel video) e nera (preparerò un video a riguardo). Nel video la fotocamera ha un soffietto blu elettrico disponibile solo su richiesta.

Despite the coronavirus I continue to work and improve my cameras.

Today is the turn of the Hyper camera 4×5 (mark 3) to which I have changed the focus guides.

I replaced the old guides in galvanized steel with new ones in aluminum alloy that do not need maintenance, which lighten the camera by 100 grams (about 10%) and which make it more rigid when it is at the maximum extension (which increases by 2 cm).

Nonostante il coronavirus continuo a lavorare e a migliorare le mie fotocamere.

Oggi è il turno della Hyper camera 4×5 a cui ho cambiato le guide per la messa a fuoco.

Ho sostituito le vecchie guide in acciaio zincato con delle nuove in lega di alluminio che non hanno bisogno di manutenzione, che alleggeriscono la fotocamera di ben 100 grammi (circa il 10%) e che la rendono più rigida quando è alla massima estensione (che aumenta di 2 cm).

Despite the full emergency covid19 I continue to work, today in fact we have a great return, the 8×10 Tailboard camera with all the movements.

I had already show you this camera, as you know it is modular, so we can add extensions and change the standards (from those without movements to those with movements) and even increase the format (one at most above the initial), but in the previous ones video I had never shown you the camera in its TOP version, that is with the movements both in front and behind.

Nonostante la piena emergenza covid19 continuo a lavorare, oggi infatti abbiamo un grande ritorno, la Tailboard camera 8×10 con tutti i movimenti.

Questa fotocamera l’avevo già presentata, come sapete è modulare, quindi possiamo aggiungere estensioni e cambiare le standarde (da quelle senza movimenti a quelle con i movimenti) e addirittura incrementare il formato (uno al massimo sopra l’iniziale), però nei precedenti video non vi avevo mai fatto vedere la fotocamera nella sua versione TOP, ovvero con i movimenti sia davanti che dietro.

Today I will summarize in a video the main differences between the basic and advanced models of the Hyper camera 4×5 mark 3 butterfly wings, I have already made specific videos for each of the models you will see today, however, I have received many questions and I hope to answer everyone.

The three main differences are:

1) focus glass material: 3 mm frosted glass for the basic while the advanced mounts a super bright plastic screen with fresnel lens

2) focusing system: on the advanced model the rear standard moves through a worm screw placed under the glass, on the basic model instead the stands move by hand, the minimum and maximum extension do not change between the two models

3) color: the basic is only in natural wood color, while the advanced model is also available in black.

In this video I also wanted to further underline the most important difference between the basic mark 2 and mark 3, or the possibility of mounting graflock backs (in mark 2 it was not possible, on the mark 3 butterfly wings yes).

Oggi riassumerò in un video le principali differenze tra i modelli basic e advanced della Hyper camera 4×5 mark 3 butterfly wings, ho già realizzato dei video specifici per ognuno dei modelli che vedrete oggi però ho ricevuto molte domande e spero di rispondere a tutti.

Le tre principali differenze sono:

1) materiale del vetro di messa a fuoco: vetro smerigliato di 3 mm per la basic mentre la advanced monta uno schermo in materiale plastico super brillante con lente di fresnel

2) sistema di messa a fuoco: sul modello advanced la standarta posteriore si muove tramite una vite senza fine posta sotto il vetro, sul modello basic invece le standarte si muovo a mano, l’estensione minima e massima non cambiano tra i due modelli

3) colore: la basic è solo in colore legno naturale, mentre per il modello advanced è disponibile anche la colorazione in nero.

In questo video inoltre ho voluto sottolineare ulteriormente la differenza più importante tra la basic mark 2 e mark 3, ovvero la possibilità di montare dorsi graflock (nella mark 2 non era possibile, sulla mark 3 butterfly wings sì).

We are in Vinci, near my home and my workspace, where Leonardo da Vinci was born, to commemorate the 500 years since the master’s death and dedicate an 8×10 camera, the new Leonardo 8×10 folding camera.
