new experiment today

This time don’t talking about cameras but I made a small survey of the “intermediate” edition of Lucca Fotolux, biennial photography festival held every two years for the city of Lucca.

The festival, in its full version, is very similar to the Arles model, that is with the various exhibitions located throughout the city in really suggestive places, in this intermediate version only the photos of the world press photo and the Leica contest are shown in two separate locations.

I’ll not show you a camera today but i offer you a FREE TUTORIAL to shoot outside with large format camera.

In the end of this series you could receive also a list of the equipment used during the shooting.

The professor will be Giulio Speranza, large format photographer and StenopeiKa’s tester.

Together we went on 00 trail on the central Apennines between Pistoia e Bologna, to take a landscape picture of Gennaio Peak and Corno alle Scale Peak.

In this video Giulio will explain all the steps before the shot, he will use the StenopeiKa 45se2 folding camera:

Today video about the last photographic project made with Paolo Mazzo and Hyper camera 8×10″ in the Anina city (Romania).

The whole project was realized with hyper camera 8×10 basic, and the result of 3 intensive shooting days were 20 portraits in contact print 8×10 made in a hotel room 🙂

I hope you like it, and for all those who want to see the real pictures, on October 26th at 6.00 pm the project will be presented at the “Quasi fotografo” gallery in Verona for 3 weeks.

The technical features are the same of the others versions (iroko and olive wood) the real big difference beyond the aesthetic aspect, lies in the fact that the camera has a fourth dimension, or the smell, in fact the cypress wood gives off a very sweet scent.
